In order to spur subdivision development, we're going to have a contest.
On Sunday the 24th of November (2 weeks from today), at 8 pm GMT, we
will be judging the best real (as opposed to testing) subdivision. Every
city that makes some reasonable attempt at participation will get an
award. The prizes are:
1st place: 2 million gold.
2nd: 1 million gold
3rd: 500k gold
4th-6th: 250k gold.

The criteria for what constitutes the best subdivision is admittedly a
bit subjective (well, quite a bit). We'll judge them mainly on how
pretty they look and as well as how creative. Larger will generally be
better, but small-and-good is better than large-and-ugly. In order to
qualify for judging, the subdivision must have at least 49 rooms, though
that would be an extremely small subdivision, unlikely to win.
