Shouts are meant for when you want everyone in Achaea to hear what you say. If shouts are never full of sillinesses (is there such a word?) then theres a bigger chance that everyone will have shouts on.
When do we want everyone in Achaea to hear something? Generally when theres some sort of Achaea-wide rp going on. For example, the day Maran sacrificed himself in an effort to bring Deucalion back but failed and was later granted acsension. As I recall, about 2 out of 3 shouts were complete stupidity, and the rest were the rp... making it difficult to follow and not as fun for everyone.

I have to admit, I do agree with you about the yells. In cities, though, there are usually a lot more people than there are when we yell about in the forest, so i guess I understand their point there as well. And thats my point to Xowni - its rare that anyone yells at all in the forest, let alone spammy and offensive yells, more often the yells are just a small group of foresty folk yelling between groves or something, so yells in the wilderness arent such a problem. And if someone DOES make a special trip to yell at nothing just like the Logos suggested, well... you're in a grove.... use it.
