As a longstanding citizen and leader of Ashtan never have I heard of the dowager having grandchildren, though I can't prove it.

However, the Dowager's Mansion was not given over to nor sold by the city of Ashtan to any clan, sect or person claiming to be a descendent direct or otherwise. Anyone who takes up illegal residence in any building or housing in Ashtan and publicly claims it as their own are subject to possible rents and monies listed under taxes of the Ashtan Housing and Building codes. This ruling if applicable is retroactive, which means from the time you 'claim' to own or occupy a structure in Ashtan you are subject past due rents, taxes and penalties.

All monies due will be deemed by the Ashtan Ruling Council and if not paid all squatters, who dosen't have any rights to begin with, will be summarily evicted.

I hope this cleared up any doubts or questions on the who owns the mansion issue. As far as I am concerned the Dowager herself does.
