A Thief

One of you... out of malice or sheer ignorance, I can't decide which... has decided to take it upon yourself to take something that does not belong to you, and remove it from its rightful resting place. I believe it was a magically-preserved letter, written in memoriam of the Goddess Tarah. The flowers placed with it were long since gone... also taken by a greedy or simply careless hand... and this could be forgiven. Flowers are such transient things, after all... But this letter required much thought and many tears shed on the part of the author, and no small amount of my own money to preserve it for said writer.
It was placed in a very specific location, for a very specific reason... and I even attached a flame sigil, that none might disturb it. Apparently, one of you has no concept of sanctity, to steal from a holy place.
I would appreciate its return very much, should you find that you are the one who has erred in such a fashion. No action will be taken against you, no blame placed. If the weight of your own conscience is not enough to spur you to return it, then no threat I am able to make would be sufficient. 'Twould be a sad sort of existence, indeed, and, in that case, it may do you some good to study it. Erstwhile, this is a sentimental item, and one which cannot be replaced. I would wish for it to be returned to my hand.

Sincerely,
-Lady Aeilan Sheolan

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Sarapin, in the year 264 AF.
