I think you are the one missing the big picture. It has been stated
by those who have more wisdom about thier guilds, that the price ban
and such is not because of dalamar. Does exterminating cut down on the
supply of herbs? Yes. However, the reason for the ban is not supply
and demand, the idea has been thrown around for many years. Dalamar has
not been exterminating for years. The price list is an attempt to
standardize the price for certain items. The magi-class, and the
serpent-class have already done this. Note that the magi-class and
serpent-class did not do this due to Dalamar, they did it to stop the
under-cutting of one another in selling their goods.
