Oh Kresslack,
Thank you for sharing your story. You should understand that stories are of great importance to any true Deviant. Consideration of their weight and fate are required before we can even address our Goddess. I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share it. Stories like yours and mine are quite common but they are always an opportunity to explore what Pandora holds so dear. Getting kicked out of Ashtan by Imyrr was one of the most satisfying events of my life and I've held him as a dear friend and true confidant since that day. Getting booted from Hashan was likewise a cherished moment that showed me the true level of integrity for quite a host of people and left me cackling in delight.
Your concern for the company I keep and my well-being is both uninformed and unwarranted. Part of being Deviant is understanding the ways in which our free will can be restrained and restricted. This includes social ties. My desire to sever those sorts of ties is why I forced Imyrr to kick me from Ashtan before making my way to Hashan. Now I could name for you the multiple ambassadors and city leaders that have approached me on the topic of citizenship but in your own words "I do not live under any delusion that my words will have changed your stance on anything." The truth of the matter is however, that the only two cities of significant culture I've yet to experience are Theocracies that have a problem with self-determination. Outside of exploring a city's culture and philosophy, all citizenship in a city I've already visited has to offer me is the never-ending conflict over the hollow title of Empire. Call me crazy but I just have a problem with trampling over villages and towns time and time again. I'd much rather sit out here working on my style and occasionally pranking Majin when he dies. Just between you, me and anyone else that has made is this far however, it is worth noting that Eleusis is really the only city that hasn't suffered some sort of cataclysm or upheaval and you don't have to be a prophet to know the 'Teth will be back soon.
You have missed the point to all of this Kresslack. Or maybe you've finally clued in. I can live with being a victim of mob justice. That shit is amusing. I'm not fighting for what has been done to me. I'm fighting for what little shreds are left of the Seleucarian tradition you all keep claiming after. You see the reason I know Aerek doesn't believe a damn word he has ever said about honour or integrity, how I knew the Knight clan was never going to be a home for me is because he inducted you. Kresslack. You quite simply disgust me more than any single person on all of Creation and I'm one of the very few non-Occultists to ever look at Hecate.
Once you were just a disappointment. I understand why you wanted to leave the Pirates and I don't hold your departure against you but I won't forget what you did after you left. Rather than face the consequences of your actions, rather than face your former allies at sea, you took a coward's way out. You hid and traded in your integrity for crowns and credits. Now that just made you a bit of a disappointment. What makes you so gob-smackingly revolting, and how I know Aerek doesn't actually care about honour or integrity, is the fact that someone like you is allowed to call themselves a Knight. You lie about jousting being an ancient and traditional sport for the sake of personal aggrandizement and gold. You lie about the magical and exceptional nature of your forged goods for the sake of gold when every item you've ever crafted was average at best. But most importantly there is a very basic set of rules we are all expected to follow and you couldn't even manage that. I just don't think that someone like you has the right to call themselves a Knight or a leader.
Around about half an age ago the Successor-Guilds all shared this bottom floor of expectations and anyone that slipped below that level was deemed unworthy of calling themselves a Knight. Those standards have been tossed aside to make room for a bunch of good time Charlies that will pat Aerek on the back and tell him what a good boy he is. Now I was fine with letting you clowns do your thing on your own, but Aerek chose this fight. He sat down and decided it was, in fact, a good idea to pick a fight with the highest mortal representative for the Goddess of free will and self-determination over a title. What kind of Knight would I be if I just rolled over and let him define me? Id be a bad one. He refuses to present any sort of evidence while a trouser stain like you keeps pretending he has the integrity of a Knight. And I most certainly can't just sit here and pretend that Aerek gives a shit about respect for the Gods as an excuse for "Degrading" the Bad Man Archaeon when he ignored my report about disprect to Pandora from the Knights of Hashan. Or that honour means anything to the clan when Aodfionn was allowed to taint a challenge of honour with gold or declare a merciless slaughter for anyone who walks near him.
You were right though, Kresslack. Nothing you wrote changed my stance in any way whatsoever. How could it, when I'm the single most important person on all of Creation. I remain absolute in my conviction that the source of all the rot contaminating the honour of Knighthood stems from you. Your inclusion under the banner of Knighthood stains the legacy ignited in Seleucar and diminishes the honour of any true Knight who walks the path after you. Honestly Kresslack, when I look at you I think for just a minute that maybe Pazuzu had some good ideas.
