An insult repaid

During the last Championship world games I made it my mission to use the chance to teach about the history of Lord Nicator and the staff Veldrin would go on to win.

I was horrififed to see not only a Tsol'Teth at the presentation, but actually to be the one to present the staff.

It was a slap in the face to humanity, to Lord Nicator and Lord Sarapis.

There will be a fourth Black Wave, as sure as the sun rises. The Tsol'Teth are the scorpian on the back of Sapience. When it stings you do not be surprised.

Those with an astute knowldge of history may know where the name Lockwood comes from, and will understand why I chose it for my own family name. So, I will leave you with this.

You will not destroy the Tsol'teth by killing indivduals, it's their meld (a commonly shared intelligence, think of them like ants or bees in that regard.)

There are two ways that I learned of to attack or cause harm to this meld.

When Lady Pandora created shrines for mortals it very nearly destroyed the meld, and it was only from Hashani intervention it was thwarted. I am unsure of the exact nature of this, but it's well documented that the Teth destroy shrines. For whatever reason these morrtal shrines were beyond that influence.

Any Hashani who travels too the Underdark are required to give the Tsool'teth a sample of their blood. This is because they are currently working on breeding out the insanity that runs in their lineage. There is one exception: Humanity. Because of the chaos in our blood from our creation the Tsol'teth cannot use it, as it would introduce this chaos to the meld.

When the next Black Wave is upon you Sapience do not forget the lesson of Lord Matic Ridley even a goblin can change the course of history with one well placed dagger.

Now then, I have a stiff drink waiting for me on Karbaz and a well earned retirement.

Best wishes,
Augtavian "teriblle speleler" Lockwood.

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Glacian, in the year 963 AF.
