Hello, Knights!
The more I've read the news lately, the more confused I feel. Maybe the mistake was mine since I don't know the story of Aster Keep (being called an "elemental beast" was amusing, though).
I don't mind being considered an enemy by your guild. At this point I couldn't care less. But! When I was young, there was a time in which I really wanted to become a Knight! I didn't have any guidance and life happened, though.
Either way, you know what was one of the first things I did the months leading the ritual of Ice and Shadow? I bid farewell to that dream! My grandpa even gave me a book titled "A Chronicle of Hashani Knighthood" as I was debating on whether I could live without being a citizen of Cyrene or not.
But you know what I heard the days following the "incident"? I heard the Knights were singing MY praises! Apparently what I did was brave? I stood alone and against the world like sometimes a Knight was supposed to? I even heard one of you left the guild in a huff over it!
What I don't understand is how killing Sapience a couple of hundred times is better than attacking Aster Keep once. You even kept a then-novice murderer in your lines. I heard one of you kept hunting after a loved one THE ENTIRE MONTH.
Gods. Writing this out feels SO GOOD. Anyway. Fuck you, your confusing values and your even more aloof morals. There are like 3 Knights I like and admire.
The rest of you can put a shoe in it.

Boring illusionist, cool poet, Cyrene's cooler traitor and, apparently, Creation's twister. Fear me!
PS: Recently, a Knight that came for my head sat down with me, talked to me, heard my version of the story and decide to let me live. He was so nice. You're one of the Knights who shouldn't put a shoe in it. Thank you for being such a gentleman.
Penned by my hand on the 5th of Lupar, in the year 958 AF.
