Truth

Such a vivid imagination, have you,
Creating fantasies you wish were true,
I am hurt by your lies,
About our betrothed ties,
We were but friends before we were through.

It saddens me to see that ego foregos friendship in this instance,
Mendax. Alas, I cannot stand by idly while you tarnish my virtue and
reputation. Those who know me, know me well, but those that do not would
be influenced in their judgement of me by your thoughtless words. Allow
me this in response: First is not the most important, and you were
definately not the first relationship of meaning in my life. Hence First
is wrong. Last is the victor in this instance. You and I, could not
overcome the boundaries of friendship and the testiment is that I did
not remain in that relationship for long. It is the statement about
being a firecracker that upsets me the most. How you can create such a
metaphor is beyond me, when you were never near enough to feel the heat
as the wick is lit, let alone know of my potential to combust and light
the night skies with passion.

Indeed I am saddened by your disregard for our friendship, in exchange
for some small sad way to boost your own ego.

Merik D'Ischai

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Phaestian, in the year 370 AF.
