12.14.16 Zaphar Isle

Comprised of two remote desert islands, Zaphar Isle was settled long ago by the
crew of a Jaruvian fishing vessel that had been thrown off course in a storm.
The northern island was found to be uninhabitable, over-ridden with scorpions
and snakes, and so the Jaruvians settled upon the southern island, braving the
other only to obtain water from the freshwater oasis. Time has taken a
mysterious turn, however, as some of the inhabitants have begun to resemble the
deadly creatures that inhabit the northern isle.
