12.14.14 The Port of Umbrin

The neighbouring islands of Colchis and Umbrin are both well fortified against
invaders, and rightly so: their warlike inhabitants have been entrenched in
battle since their eldest citizens can remember. The Colchians are a
superstitious, fanatical community of deadly warriors, while the Umbrinites
pride themselves on their highly militarised organisation. Whether a fault of
proximity, ancient grudges, or any other reason; the two societies have
sustained their mutual hatred for hundreds of years, without hope of peace.
