12.12.6 Chaghut Encampment
A roving, nomadic tribe of horse warriors, the Chaghut wander the open steppe of the Daoric plains. Led by their grizzled Chieftain, the Noyan Tokhta, and his wife Qatun Conchatka, the Chaghut are a predominantly peaceful people who revere the land and its spirits. Chaghut life revolves around the breeding and protection of their renowned horses, the finest on Meropis, distinguished by a blazing white mark at their crown. A small but fearsome band of defenders protects the tribe from the predations of Khovsgol, the Black, an enigmatic horse rustler, and his band of thieves.
