11.7.10 OURANIA, GODDESS OF THE MOON

By the will of the Luminous One, the darkness of night is lifted and made to
glitter, Her heaven-sent glow enveloping all of Sapience in radiance. Thusly
does the Goddess of the Moon turn shadow to light, graciously sharing Her
illuminations each evening and dividing each day.

Enigmatic and ever-changing, the Lady stands in the Chaos that lies between
Light and the Dark, and it is said by some that She is the fulcrum where the
two meet. She is the light that shines unabashed amid the deepest, darkest
night, and yet also veils Her radiance in stygian blackness. Called Trisagia,
the "Thrice-Holy," this Triune Goddess is reported to appear in three divine
forms: the virginal maiden Skuld, the fruitful matron Verthandi, and the
wizened crone Urdu, each in complement to the lunar orb that She represents and
eldritch powers She embodies.

Known also as the Goddess of Crossroads, let no one claim knowledge of Her
ways, for Her faces and aspects are manifold, veiled and unveiled at Her
pleasure as She works the shadows between and all they contain. The Lady of
Subterfuge is the movement of the tides within the Sea, representing the
timeless and chaotic genesis of Change, unstoppable, unfathomable.
