4.24 Looting Corpses

(See also HELP DENIZEN RETURN, HELP QUESTS, HELP OFFERINGS,
          HELP SHRINES, HELP GODS)

Looting or searching corpses for gold or items is never needed.

Gold and Loot
-------------
If you kill a denizen (mobile/npc), its corpse will automatically be placed in
your possession. When it dies, any possessions or gold fall from its corpse
onto the ground. Pick it up or not as you choose. There is nothing you have to
do, or can do, to "loot" a now-dead enemy.

How Long do Corpses Last?
-------------------------
You don't have forever to do something with those corpses. They'll decay on you
fairly quickly. You have anywhere from a quarter of an Achaean day and up.
There's really no way to be certain, so if you intend to find a corpse buyer,
better hurry!

Selling Corpses
---------------
Many corpses, especially those in the areas of Minia and Lodi, may be sold to
certain interested buyers. Finding those buyers is a sort of quest which can be
quite rewarding!

Most corpses have no interested buyers, in which case you may then use them as
offerings at a shrine to whatever Divinity you wish. These offerings help the
Divinity in mysterious ways unfathomable to mere mortals. It can never hurt to
have one of the Gods of Achaea happy with you, and it may help a great deal!

Adventurer Corpses
------------------
Adventurer corpses are not handled in the same way. If you do manage to kill
another adventurer, neither gold nor possessions are involved. The adventurer
leaves a corpse that may be offered up to the Divine.
