17.4.6 Craps: gambling with dice.

For those with artefact ivory dice, a very simple gambling game may be played
called craps. Here's how it works.

One person takes the dice. Whoever has the dice is called the shooter.

The shooter rolls the dice (ROLLDICE), with the following results:

roll 7 or 11 : win.
roll 2, 3, or 12 : lose (this is called 'crap out' - pass the dice).
roll anything else : keep rolling! You've got a point to roll again before 7.

If you get a point (4,5,6,8,9,10)
---------------------------------
The case where you roll anything else is called 'getting a point.' So if you
roll 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, then your point is that number. Keep rolling forever
until you roll your point again, or 7. Ignore all other numbers, which no
longer count until you either get your point or a 7. If your point comes up
first, you win. If 7 comes up first you lose and, in fact, you crap out.

If you win, or if you lose, you always keep the dice and can play again, so to
speak, unless you crap out, in which case you must pass the dice to a new
shooter.

It is customary to place a bet when you are about to roll the dice for the
first time, and then for others to bet against you, or to 'take' or 'cover'
that bet. When you are about to roll the dice for the first time, or right
after you just won or lost, that's called 'coming out.'

Examples:

coming out: roll a 7. you win!
coming out: roll a 2. craps. you lose.
coming out: roll a 10. 10 is the point. roll a 3, 11, 7. crap out. you lose.
Pass the dice.
coming out: roll a 4. 4 is the point. roll 5, 6, 2, 11, and 4. You win!

Good luck to you all!
