21.3 CLAN LEADERSHIP COMMANDS
Commands for the Clan Head -------------------------- CLAN HISTORY ADD [CONFIRM] - With 500,000 gold in hand a clan leader can purchase history for the currently selected clan in their CLAN LIST. CLAN APPOINT <clanmember> TO <position name, or position #> - Appoints a clan member to a position. There can be multiple people per position. CLAN CREATE POSITION <name of position> - Creates a new position in a clan. Position names can be up to 30 characters long and be multiple words. CLAN DESTROY POSITION <name of position, or number of position> - Destroys a position in a clan. By number we mean that each position will be numbered 1-10. It may be easier to refer to the positions by number. CLAN DISMISS <clan member> FROM <position> - Dismisses a clan member from a position. CLAN DISSOLVE - Destroys a clan. CLAN EDIT SUMMARY - Each clan can have a public summary scroll about the clan. CLAN EXEMPT <clan member> <x> YEARS or CLAN EXEMPT <clan member> PERMANENTLY - Exempts a clan member from dues for X years, or forever. (note that by year we mean Achaean year) CLAN FORGIVE <clan member> - Forgives a clan member of clan dues, once. CLAN FORGIVE ALL - Forgives a clan member (or all members) of clan dues, once. CLAN HOUSES - Lists the House IDS for any clan housing owned by the clan. CLAN INVEST <position # or name> WITH <power name> - Invests a clan position with a power. - Can use ALL in place of position to apply to all positions. - Powers able to be invested are: (you'll find more on these commands in the next section) APPOINT, BANKACCOUNTS, DESIGNS, DISCHARGE, ENEMIES, ENEMY, EXEC_SUMMARY, FLEETCOMMAND, HELPEDIT, INDUCT, LOG, OWED, PROBATION, READNEWS, SEESECRET, WITHDRAW, WRITELOG, WRITENEWS CLAN LOGGING OPEN/CLOSE - Toggles the status of clan logging. If it's open, any clan member can read the log. If it's closed, only the clan head and position holders in positions with the log power invested may read the log. CLAN NEW_HEAD <clan member> - Replace yourself as clan head. CLAN RENAME POSITION <position number> <new name of position> - Changes the name of an existing position in a clan. By number we mean that each position will be numbered 1-10. CLAN STRIP <power> FROM <position # or name> - Can strip the same powers as you can invest. - Can also use ALL to strip from all positions. CLAN SET -------- CLAN SET ALIAS alias - Allows you to change the alias of the clan at will. CLAN SET BANK HERE|NONE - Used with HERE, it declares your present location as being your clan's official bank. All paid dues will be directly deposited to this bank. You need to be standing in a bank for this command to work. With NONE, it declares that your clan does not have an official bank anymore. All paid dues will be directly deposited in your inventory. CLAN SET DEMOCRATIC ON - This will *permanently* set the clan to be democratic. The head of the clan will be determined by a vote. A member can contest the current head by CONTEST <person> AS HEAD OF <clan>. A democratic clan can never be set to org_owned. CLAN SET DEFAULT POSITION - This will allow the clan head to set a default position that people will be assigned to when they are inducted into the clan. If ANY clan position is destroyed this setting will be cleared and need to be set again. CLAN SET DUES amount - Sets clan dues per year per member. CLAN SET FAMILY <name> - Sets the clan as a family clan - Costs 500,000 gold sovereigns. - PERMANENT, CANNOT BE REVERSED. ** NOTE ** See HELP CLANS for more information on this. CLAN SET HEAD_NAME clanhead_position_name - Sets the name of the head position in the clan. CLAN SET NAME name - Allows you to change the name of the clan at will. CLAN SET OMITFROMHONOURS ON/OFF - Sets a clan to be hidden from clan member's honours list. CLAN SET ORG_OWNED org name - PERMANENT, CANNOT BE REVERSED. Allows you to set a city, House, Divine, or Order as the true 'owner' of the clan. This means that the organisation's leader can set a new head for the clan at any time. An org_owned clan cannot be set democratic, and vice versa. You can only set this ONCE; you cannot change the owning org after setting it, nor can you revert it. CLAN SET PRIVATE ON/OFF - Toggles the private flag on or off. A private clan is one that is not listed in HELP CLANLIST. - With private on CLANHELP <clan name> will not show members in positions. - All "OOC" clans are required to be set as private. CLAN SET PROGENITOR <person> - For family clans. Configure up to two progenitors for your family line. Once set, this can not be changed. Progenitors either have to: * Be in the clan. * Have the house surname in their title. CLAN SET SECRET ON/OFF - Toggles the secret flag on or off. A secret clan is one in which the membership cannot see each other (except for the clan head) and in which clan news posts and clantells are anonymous. CLAN SET SUFFIX <suffix> - For family clans, this will set the suffix/surname of the family. Clan members can use FAMILY TITLE to replace their existing suffix with the family name. WRITELOG <clan alias> <text to put in the log> - Writes any text you want into the clan log. Investable powers ----------------- Clan heads have all of these commands. Any position within the clan may be invested with any of these commands with the CLAN INVEST command. CLAN APPOINT <clanmember> TO <position name, or position #> - Appoints a clan member to a position. There can be multiple people per position. - Those with the appoint power will not be able to appoint to any position that also has the appoint power. CLAN BANKACCOUNTS - List the clan's bank accounts. DESIGNS - Allows the use of clan owned designs on NDS. CLAN DISCHARGE <adventurer> <optional reason> - Kicks someone out of your clan. You cannot kick out the clan head. CLAN DISMISS <clan member> FROM <position> - Dismiss people from a clan position. - Similar to appoint you can not dismiss from a position that also has the dismiss power. CLAN ENEMIES - See a current list of clan enemies. CLAN ENEMY/UNENEMY <person> <reason> - Declare someone an enemy or remove an enemy status. CLAN EXEC_SUMMARY - See an executive summary of your clan. CLAN FORGIVE - Forgives a clan member of clan dues. HELPEDIT - Edit the CLHELP files. CLAN INDUCT <adventurer> - Asks an adventurer if he wants to join your clan. The adventurer must type AGREE after being asked. CLAN OWED - See a list of what clan members owe, and how much each owes. CLAN PROBATION <adventurer> ON/OFF - Turn clan probation on or off on a member. - Clan probation means no reading of news and no clan channel. - You may not use this command on members holding clan position unless you are the clan leader. FLEETCOMMAND - Control ships' settings, crew, captains, etc via ASSUME COMMAND, and SHIP APPOINT <person> CAPTAIN. READLOG <clan alias> <starting point in log> <days back> - Works just like the readlog commands for cities and houses. The last two fields are optional. - If the clan head has made logging open, then anyone in the clan may access this command. - For the purpose of investing use CLAN INVEST <position> WITH LOG. READNEWS - Works to allow members of the clan to read the newsboards. - By default invested to all members. SEESECRET - Those positions invested with this power will be able to see who everyone is within a clan that is set to being secret. WITHDRAW <amount> <clan alias> <reason optional> - Withdraws <amount> gold from the clan bank account at that bank. WRITELOG <clan alias> <what you wish to write in the log> - Works just like the writelog commands for cities and houses. WRITENEWS - Works to allow members of a clan to write to the newsboards. - By default invested to all members. - CLAN STRIP WRITENEWS FROM ALL Commands for the High Clan Leader --------------------------------- CLAN RELATIONS - View your clan's organisational relations. PREFIX <clan member> <prefix> - Bestow a title upon a clan member before their name. SUFFIX <clan member> <suffix> - Bestow a title upon a clan member after their name.
