Statement of Purpose

Greetings Sapience,

What follows is a brief explanation of my purpose here, as well as a look at what the overall purpose for all of us is.

I am here to serve our Lord, Sartan. I am here to spread His power and impose His view on the Land, as this view is truly the only one of importance, and is indeed the only correct one.

Lord Sartan is the essence of Evil. Evil is, simply put, the extinguishment of Goodness, Righteousness, Light and Weakness. Evil entails Strength, Order, and, above all, loyalty to the Lord Sartan.

Anything opposed to these ideals is a detriment to us all as mortals, and intolerable to our Lord Sartan. This includes allegiances to things and beings that diametrically oppose the Will of Lord Sartan. Obvious opponents include citizens of Shallam, who embrace Light and are tied to the Church. Followers of Pentharian, Aurora and other such deities, as well as mortals in the Paladin and Priest guilds. These mortals embrace ideals of protecting the weak and "innocent." Protection does not lead to strength. There is no innocence. And thus these people are indeed enemies to Sartan, and then to me.

And so I give an ultimatum. People of Sapience: embrace Evil. Give up your foolish, weak ways. They are in direct contradiction to what is True, and indeed what Is. Kneel before Lord Sartan. Swear to break any bonds to the Light, to the Weak. Only then will you even begin to travel the path to Order, Strength, and Evil.

Perhaps now I will define Weakness. Weakness does not lie in the physical size of a person. It lies inside each one of us. As mortals, we very well may be doomed to forever carry with us a shred of Weakness. Devoting yourself to Evil is but a way to try to assume an ounce of dignity before our Lord Sartan. Weakness comes in many forms. It comes through over-indulgence in our mortal emotions, and an over-reliance on them. Thought, Order, and Logic are the guides we should follow. Weakness in physical combat is indeed a disgrace before our Lord. No matter the size of a person, they should be able to at least display some knowledge of combat. Weakness can come through a dependence on Light and Goodness. These ideas are inherently and cyclically weak. The weak help the weak to get "stronger," but in reality this compassion leads to further Weakness. Indeed, compassion is a bane to Evil, and is intolerable.

So, fellow mortals. I issue this ultimatum in the name of our Lord, Sartan. Embrace his ideals. Strive toward Evil, Strength, and Order. Our Lord demands it. Until you do, know this. You _will_ be hunted. Your weakness will be expunged from this Land, be it by allegiance or death.

These are my words. Keep them in your head, for they are my will, and indeed are the will of our Lord, Sartan.
