Truth

Perhaps there is no absolute all-encompasing, static Truth, but there are indeed certain truths that can be realized. For example, as you say yourself, what is seen as true today may not be seen as true tomorrow. Is that not a truth itself?
As for your ideas regarding the activities of the Church, think a bit longer about your accusations. Is it really hypocritical to fight for peace, to oppose oppressors, to destroy destroyers, to oppress those who would destroy freedom? I'm not saying that any means is justified in achieving an end, but do realize that the Holy Codex does not strip church members of the ability to take actions to see their ideals realized.
