Public News Post #6766

support

Supporting someone publicly is entirely different than private words
of encouragement. The latter have I given you, but I did not realize
until it was brought to my attention that the realm may not recognize
what support you do have. We have met before, Raajin. We have
exchanged words when I believe it was Ryvern who exterminated a forest
location long ago. The remainder of our discourse is between you and I
but I believe we both came to realize that each is a man of high honour
who values highly truth and loyalty.
=
Obviously whatever transpired between Sartan and the Infernals is none
of my business. In one sense I should rejoice for it is the evil side
who was struck a blow that day. I do not rejoice. What Raajin did in
his decision to personally help raise shrines across the land and to
cease hostilities, nay, become allies with his passionate enemy the church
stands as one of the most courageous and honorable acts in the history
of Sapience. How easy would it have been to strike with the invading
orcs and ogres, forget about what may happen should they triumph over
Achaea and murder or enslave the populace. How easy it would have been
to strike deeply at the church during the turmoil and confusion of battle
on such a huge scale. Raajin did not take the easy path.

I now publicly give you my support, Raajin, in whatever capacity I am able.
I will stand beside you in battle, I will use my own judgement as to
whether or not to extricate you from a fight where you are being overwhelmed,
as I doubt you will flee to save yourself. I will not support the tides
of darkness, or evil in any way. This is not about good versus evil.
This is about loyalty and honour. But I think you already know that
quite well, Raajin.
