My dear.... person. I believe you misread because Zaklin stated that Dalamar is no longer part of the church. Though the paladins and priests use shrines so do ex-paladins. Dalamar uses them for his skills and if he kills someone for defiling shrines (which he uses for his skills) then it really has no connection to the church whatsoever
