Shallam and the Church

Your first paragraph in your post #2743 is a personal opinion of your own devising and as such I will not debate it here. You have the right to express it, tho of course I may disagree with you.

Your second paragraph re name calling I have to agree with. It's somewhat childish, tho perhaps understandable given the intensity of feeling on the matter. I disagree on the point of you being a threat, greatly or otherwise however.

The third paragraph contains a blatant contradiction in terms: you espouse peace and no bloodshed, yet in your 'choice' you threaten war and death. Therefore, it isn't a choice at all, it is simply blackmail. The treaty signed at the conclusion of the last war clearly states that no shrines are to be erected north of Thera. We have followed that dictum to the letter. In one case, Thakren, still a Paladin at that time, erected a shrine near the statue of Zarathustra simply so he could pilgrimage back to wherever it was he wanted to go. For that he was severely censured, and eventually cast out of the guild. The Church took it upon itself to take down the shrine, galling tho it was to us, in honour of the Treaty and it's stipulations.

The shrines in Achaea are there for the purpose of providing ease of transport for those able to use them for that purpose. People of peaceful and civilized intent have absolutely nothing to fear from them and much to gain, particularly the new in this realm. The Thera shrine is there for ease of transport to NoT, a popular sparring spot, and to provide benefits to those Church able to use the shrines in their spars. If the shrine were not there, it effectively eliminates an entire skillset. Is that fair? i don

Your fourth paragraph is also a personal opinion of your own. We aren't in the spitting business. I would venture to say, however, that given the fact that you are an ex-Paladin, ex-Church, ex-Citizen of Shallam and possibly even ex-Auroran, you have absolutely NO idea about what the 'Ideas' and 'Beliefs' of the Church are, having betrayed them in the first place, you presume to instruct the world in your ignorance.

Penned by my hand on the 5th of Glacian, in the year 230 AF.
