Absolutely no wormhole is useless. They are convenient, yes, for warping to the Azdun to bash, quest places, etc. but I'm looking at them from the big picture.

For instance, while bashing in Shaastan, a group of bold (translation: spineless) paladins march in a group to defend the women and fisherman and begin an onslaught. You may or may not make it to that one wormhole in the small hut... but, you will most likely be able to warp if there are a few dozen wormholes throughtout. Sure, they all may not go DIRECTLY to Hashan or the guildhouse, but, within seconds you will be in a safe area.

In my opinion, the more wormholes we have, the less it hurts us when someone collapses one. The further we get ahead in this battle, the better off we're going to be when the Church or some other entity decides to go on a rampage, collapsing wormholes.
