I find your offer for my "pennance" of 50,000 gold to be donated
to the city of Shallam, offensive. The fact that Shallam did
horribly in the war and so is scrabbling for cash to help fuel their
war-effort, is well known. And as I said to you before, I am stepping
out of this War that Never Ends, and will not help the war effort of
any side. I bear no hate or any ill-will towards Shallam, in fact
I almost miss it... if maybe there was some way that I could be
certain that the money would go to some other ends than the War,
then I wouldn't mind donating what I can... but I must say that 50k
seems rather over the top.
