Dear Rahl,
I was attempting to point out to the "general populace" (as you so condescendingly call them) that the Oakstone is, at present, a very disorganised association that doesn't understand it's power nor the use of said power. I also attempted to point out (I am sorry if you missed the memo on this) that a) the Oakstone is really ruled by Gaia, not the heirophants, and b) the hierophants will enemy you to the Oakstone if you look at them sideways (as in the case of my second enemying). Also, I would like to point out that because the forest defences go through being graced that no one who is an enemy can pray for salvation (just think of where one pops up after that is over with).
I think that the Oakstone COULD be a good thing. In fact, I was more then interested in learning about it when it started because I thought the idea was great. Unfortunately I was met with insults. Since then I have only seen that the Oakstone protects what gives power to itself, not the whole picture. The Oakstone protects the forest because your groves are there and they are your personal power bases. You ignore the other natural areas of Achaea, such as the mountains, unless something to do with your own personal power is threatened (as per my example with the valerian - you were scared you wouldn't be able to make anymore health elixirs or so on).
I would have liked to see the Oakstone work, and I would have liked to support it in any actions...if it really tried to do what it claimed to. It doesn't necessarily have to succeed at this (although I hope it would) but it only has to TRY. That is the crux of the matter. Don't think in terms of polictical power. Think in terms of what you are trying to protect.
I am not worried about stocking my shops. Many of my druid and non-druid friends have come forward with offers of help (they believe in seeing all folk alike having access to cheap plants). I do hope you don't threaten them with enemying too (probably will, we all know the Oakstone isn't about free will).
Oh, finally, I have heard that a high ranking member of the Oakstone was thrown out of it because he tried to stand up for what he believed in. He didn't toe the party line so was tossed out (has he been enemied yet?). I also heard that Mysti was disfavoured by Gaia for also standing up for herself and not conforming to the cardboard cutout of a druid that a lot have become these days. She's not all that bad even though she was the one who enemied again. Actually, that reminds me...in your last post you claimed that I didn't do the task set forth and was re-enemied. Now in this post you claim that since I insulted the Oakstone ninnies I was re-enemied! Typical Oakstone behaviour!
Anyways, sorry about the length of this post to everyone who is not Rahl and not particulary interested with this yawn of a situation. Please feel free to skip over all subsequent posts from either myself or Rahl. They're not bound to be very interesting.
