Hail, Sapience.
This post refers to the previous post on the second Asterian Festival of History from 977AF to 978AF. Please refer to that first if you have not yet read it.
In an effort to encourage global collaboration under the banner of knowledge, we invite all and sundry to join us in our preparations for the second Festival.
Organisations
--------------
If you belong to:
- A racial clan
- A city/village
- A Divine Order
We have already or are in the process of sending missives to your relevant representatives. If you are such a representative and have not yet received a letter from myself, do reach out.
If you:
- Belong to a High Clan
- Own an out-of-subdivision property open to public visits, with historical value
and wish to contribute to the Festival, do also reach out to myself. We are open to opportunities for collaboration, or can at the very least highlight the existence of your resource.
Individuals
------------
If you are:
- A scholar who wishes to give a historical presentation, lecture, workshop or similar
- A performer who has performed a song, play, dance, or similar with a historical theme
- Neither of the above, but someone simply with a historical story to tell
and are willing to do so for the Festival, contact us with your planned script or program for approval. Please note that you may reuse any work previously done if you wish, as long as it meets our approval. You may also choose your own presentation or performance slot, as long as it abides by the relevant Age.
If you are:
- A merchant with a selection of historical or organisational-themed wares
- An artist/furnisher interested in creating historical-themed artwork or furnishings for a public auction
and are willing to do so for the Festival, contact us for further details.
If you are:
- An author who has written historical tomes
- A librarian or collector of historical tomes
and are willing to create or produce a copy of relevant works for the Ingram Cairo Memorial Library, contact us for further details.
As Achaea nears a thousand years of existence since the fall of Seleucar, we lose more memories and more history with every passing day. Yet time and time again, it has been proven that many present-day happenings do not occur on mere whim, but manifest as the devastating fruit of seeds planted centuries ago.
Thus, just as the first Black Wave was only defeated because Emperor Piraeus took heed of ancient warnings, so too must we remember the lessons of the past to make better future choices.
We believe that the restoration of history is an endeavour that is worthy of collective effort, and hope to see enthusiastic response to our open invitation. We will accept all expressions of interest until we finalise the agenda in early 977AF, but request advance warning if your submission will be late. It should be noted as well that all contributors will receive a token of esteem from the Restoration for your support.
Any questions may be directed to myself or Ruth I'llur. For more information on the Asterian Restoration, seek out myself, Ruth, CLHELP AR or the Restoration estate on Meropis's Asterian Peninsula.
