Winston Oxmiller and the Empire Examiner

Lo-da'i to all those who pay attention to the public news!

I have been enjoying the war correspondence shared across the world, especially when it marks Her Village's achievements and spins interesting twists on the events that occur across the lands.

As the Speaker of Eleusis, and a servant of Nature who has been at a number of the engagements and activities described, I have observed inaccuracies and flaws in the writings of the Empire Examiner. In some instances I have directly commented on these and had them remedied in some way or another in future publications.

We all love a gossip column, especially if there is knowledge claimed on worldly events that we are unaware of, or political stances that make us reach for our popped corn.

In this latest edition in relation to the Revelry of Rot and Ruin though, Winston Oxmiller, Chief War Correspondent writes: "Several prominent Eleusians have declined to comment on their planned costumes."

Irrespective of whether I would have answered this question or not, I was not asked.

So! The Empire Examiner clearly picks and pulls at sources that might offer an interesting story. This is only natural in this line of career, of course.

As with any written work, the duty is on the reader to make their own analysis and not rely solely on the conclusions of the author. That is, do you believe everything you read?

Now, I understand it is impossible for one Examiner to garner the thoughts of everyone who may have insight on certain topics, but to scribe such in ways that suggest many are not forthcoming, without some even being asked, well, you get the idea.

We look forward to seeing all those invited at the upcoming Revelry this coming Serenade!
