Leiri,
Like many heathens, you seem to have misinterpreted hardship for favouritism. I am nearly 600 years old. The things I have experienced, the things I have seen, the centuries I have waited to return to the fold of Mhaldorian society and Lord Sartan's service would make you fall on your knees. It is no sigh of an angel, nor the grace of a garden that has bestowed the powers of Druidism to the service of Lord Sartan. It is devotion, worship, and the strength to carry on in the face of a world that tells you; "you are an abomination."
Please, tell me how you would do cut off from a third of your powers and then have someone call it favourtism? Tell me how you would feel when everyone calls your name at the same time as they invoke the word foul, heresy, wrongness? How would you feel as the only one of your kind in the entire world? Given your mewling at the unfairness of my mere being, you would crumple.
Mhaldor does not "parade their ancient possessors of grandfathered classes". Mhaldor asks how all may serve Lord Sartan and then expects each and every citizen to prove it. Mhaldor does not get an unfair advantage, it shows its strength against numbers FAR beyond our own and does not complain when we are thrown losses.
Mhaldor is strength beyond your comprehension. Mhaldor is devotion to Lord Sartan Himself in a way you cannot ever hope to grasp.
If you could even hope to fathom the power that can be grasped from true devotion, then perhaps you could begin to comprehend the centuries that have led to my very existence, but instead you perceive only what you deem lack and self-pity. You shall never, not once in your entire life, understand what it is to be strong and face a challenge beyond yourself if you look to me and see favouritism instead of devotion, hard work, and perseverance.
May whatever God you serve have mercy on your pathetic soul.
