Burdock

Lo-da'i, Annase.
I did indeed let you know some years back that Eleusians harvest plenty of burdock roots - so much so that most of us likely pass by it when seeking other herbs that we use more prolifically.
I was polite, but these posts about burdock had become irritating long before then.
Lady Gaia gifted Sapience the burdock roots to be planted and harvested way back in 617 AF, and since then, we have advised ours to eat these roots, both young and old, just to ensure this plague is kept at bay.
No matter the comments you have heard from former Eleusians about happily wiping out the race or whatnot, we still tell ours to eat them.
It becomes clearer every year that this is not about Sapience, it is about you.
You want your voice heard, and you will continue on no matter how many people tell you to stop. This is your right, but let it be known.
Very few actually want your burdock roots, even if they smile politely and take them from you.
The thief is likely doing Sapience a favour by clearing up the litter of burdock roots left untouched.
If anyone ever wants one single burdock root from me, or ten, feel free to ask me and I'll gladly hand them over, but perhaps those who truly appreciate and pay back for the gifts that we receive should be those handing these out, not someone who sympathises with the unnatural.
In Service to Nature,
Speaker Blackwillow Blackwing
P.S. Gav, please don't encourage our enemies.
Penned by my hand on the 12th of Chronos, in the year 958 AF.
