Sapience,
It is my belief that knowledge gained is often best shared with the masses, for it is through such open channels that the world may be propelled forward to its unraveling.
It is for this reason that I found myself surprised upon discovering that Asmodron's latest post, noble as his intentions may be, explores secrets retrieved from other nations while a subject which is directly related to him and his work in the Regency remains yet unaddressed. With no intent to accuse Herald of Progress of intentionally concealing it, I nonetheless seek to remedy this oversight with my own post in order to prevent all affected parties from making uninformed decisions.
Indeed, the shift in Hashan's legal stance appears significant enough to justify Sapience's awareness of it. Know this, then: beginning last month, the Regency chose to submit Hashan's legal tools to the cause of protecting the interests of Darkwalkers. It intends to achieve this by enemying and charging for acts of defiling Lord Twilight's shrines upon Sapience.
This decision directly follows Ashtan's efforts to drive the Darkwalker influence out of its long-held territory of the Sangre Plains. Incidentally, these plains also have the quality of not having been controlled by the Court of Shadows in many years.
From this point onward, prerequisites for maintaining good terms with the City of Hashan also include exercising respect toward the choices made by the faithful of Darkness in where they place their shrines.
In pursuit of Creation's lucidity,
Squire Ulvin Devi, the Warlord.
Penned by my hand on the 17th of Phaestian, in the year 947 AF.
