The Wanderer's Choice

Ingenuity. Proficiency. Rivalry.

All are essential to honing the mind and enhancing one's skills as we seek an understanding of the myriad paths and mysteries. A goal of mine has always been to spread knowledge and elevate the minds of others, but to focus such ideals on my city and people would be anathema to the very principles mentioned. Thus, I extend this event to the people of this continent to perhaps inspire or guide all towards academic and explorative pursuits. The more challengers, the greater the experience.

The challenge shall be as such:

- A series of six riddles shall be posted on these boards, one every 5-7 months. This is to ensure more fairness with a randomised factor of timeframes.

- The riddles may pertain to historical/academic references, or someone you must speak with, or perhaps even a location that you must visit or otherwise. It is up to you to figure it out.

- Each answer provided by a participant shall go towards a point system with the first, second and third claiming 2 points each, and then up till the tenth shall receive 1 point each. This ensures fairness and equality, which I know many of you hold in the highest regard.

- Points will not be shared or discussed until the timeframe conclusion of the riddle. Upon the posting of the next riddle then an update of accumulated points will be posted.

- You can submit answers via telepathy or by a message. I will always address tells before messages for those seeking the higher ranked points. I will only check any messages received when I am present in the realms.

- Sending random answers in a flurry at me will not earn you any advantage. If anything it may ban you from the contest. Use common sense.

- You need not complete one riddle to answer the next, though it is highly suggested that you attempt to solve all of them.

- The contest shall be ongoing for as long as required until a victor is proclaimed. Upon the last riddle provided and answers received, an assessment of current points will be made.

- Should you seek to share your answers or otherwise, that is your wish, though I would expect far more cunning, strategy and even perhaps trickery from you all.

- There are no rules to this game other than what I have stated, so use all your skills however you wish to discover the answers.

But what is the prize for such a creative display? Why should you waste so much of your precious time to entertain an old wandering goat?

Well, that is for you to decide, but the prizes nonetheless are:

-------

A Starchart (Enhanced map at sea) or A Khalasian Compass (Enhanced speed of travel at off-prime locations)

A Tattered Parchment Map (Scan any area to see how many inhabitants still remain)

A Slice of Waybread (Great for travelling! Will completely satiate any hunger)

Check the Wanderer set for more information about these items

-------

The first riddle will be posted in a few months time.

As a favour and perhaps mercy to you all, I shall provide you with this but one hint: None of the answers are "Khalas".

May the most accomplished, cunning, or both win.

Sincerely,
Asmodron Dicondron,
Wanderer

Penned by my hand on the 15th of Phaestian, in the year 936 AF.
