Baiting the Truth

Oi, listen up, good people!

It's me, one they call a mad fisherman of Jaru, but there ain't no madness in caution, I tell ya! I been fishin' these waters longer than most've been walkin', and I seen things, strange things, all startin' with them burdock roots!

Now, don't go turnin' yer noses up at ol' fisherman's tales. I'm here to warn ya 'bout the dangers them roots pose, all sneaky-like in their earthy beds. They're spreadin', I tells ya, spreadin' like a bad rash after a dip in suspect waters!

Them adventurers, bless 'em for tryin', are totin' around what they calls a "cure" for the Xorani disease, but let me tell ya 'bout the burdock root. It's a wily one, it is. Lady Gaia, She's got her fingers in it, stirrin' up more than soil. Why, just last week, I caught a fish with two heads, and both were arguin' over which way they wanted to swim! If that ain't a sign, I don't know what is.

An' it ain't just the fish! The rats 'round here been actin' odder than a one-legged seagull. Big as hounds they are, an' meaner than a starved barracuda! All 'cause of them roots, mark my words. Yer mixin' up your insides with that stuff, an' who knows what'll start talkin' back to ya!

So here's my plea: cast them roots aside! Don't let the whispers of the earth lead ya astray. Earth Lady's got Her own agenda, an' it ain't in our favour, no sir. Stick to what's tried an' true, the bounty of the seas an' the honest work of yer hands.

I seen what happens when folks meddle with what they shouldn't, an' I ain't gonna stand by while my beloved Jaru falls prey to such folly. So heed my words, or don't, but when yer cat starts recitin' poetry or the trees start movin' into yer house, don't say ol' fisherman didn't warn ya!

Stay vigilant, stay sceptical, an' most importantly, stay safe!
