My dear Yen,

it has been centuries since we met - over 500 years. You were amongst those that helped me learn the ways of these realms, in the Magi Guild of the City of Shallam, a guild which later became House Crystalline. A guild, later House, which I joined right of Loom Island - how good this choice was, I could not possibly forsee back when I made it. I think I maybe simply got lucky. Very lucky.

I remained a member until the House Crystalline and Shallam, the Jewel of the East, stopped existing. I would very likely still be a member of both, today, if fate had not chosen to create new situations with new wonders.

I came back to the realms this month to see you, Yen, having been chosen as Dawnlord.

Best news ever.

How lucky we are to have you.

Yes, "we".

Not only the citizens of Targossas, but all of us.

So many people come and go. You have stayed. And, most importantly: You have stayed the wonderful person you were already more than 500 years ago. How fortunate for these realms.

Your HONOURS are impressive, but ALSO is your consistent kindness, and curiosity to all the wonders these realms offer. You are amongst the most special of mortals, to me.

You are a true inspiration.

P.S.: That said, I would like to thank Veldrin as well for still being around. He was a new mortal in the realms just when I was a new mortal. We grew up alongside eachother. Later, he was my houseleader in this wonderful House called Crystalline Circle for so many years, and - amongst other things- a very capable Minister of Security in very trying times for Shallam, and: There is still so much truth in something I have occassionally said (that may have sounded like a joking comment but is to me a very serious truth) ... he is the capable version of me ... (I did not succeed in very many things, maybe beyond serving Shallam as Ambassador for many years and being member of the Citadel) ... which might come with being a minidragon. I was never a high archiever (Miss Solar Stormcrow, Yen, Veldrin, my dear sister Eponine and others had to not only continously offer training to me, and a lot of encouragement, but even trick me into doing the very tasks needed to become a Full member of the Magi Guild), Veldrin still is a high archiever. So yes, a loud THANK YOU to both Veldrin and Yen for still being alive!!!
