Dauntless Constancy

Should a servant of the Enlightened find truth in any philosophy, let us embrace that truth without prejudice.
This was my mission, exiled from my home seven hundred and eleven years after the Fall, when I began study of Oppression. And though I serve the Jade Empress foremost, new truths I did find. The First, the Third, the Fifth, the Seventh; these truths I find objective by any measure.
For a time, I was ignored by the Baelgrim, beneath notice or beneath care. Then for a time, I was branded enemy and Anathema, hunted as a blasphemer. A Knight embraces the consequence of his acts, and I did not flee from this. You brought your Truths to me, and the struggle tempered my strength, my reflexes, my tolerance for pain, and my will to inflict it. Then for a time, I gave oath to the Tyrannus, and we called each other allies. We stood together, the few against the many forces of O'ising. We fought together at Wooded Vale against Soulbleed's essence. Raids by Nature, Chaos, and Progress, we faced in triumph or in ignominy. I sought to immerse in your culture, and to assist the knightly among you. Perhaps I did not strive hard enough.
For that time is past. Mhaldor has released my oath, and we again call each other foe. I shall not flee from this. My study of Oppression continues to serve my Enlightenment, and if I endure hardship, then let it showcase your Truths as well.
Sarapin dawns, and both our altars await our sacrifices. I salute you, soldiers of the West. Let us do glorious battle together.
Penned by my hand on the 11th of Sarapin, in the year 929 AF.
