Allow me to introduce myself, an Open Letter to Fitz

Hello Fitz!
This one will be shorter, but it's needed.
You are the inspiration for my previous post. Your confusion as to my objection to your words is enraging. It demanded a reply. Your Archon Theosis waited until I vacated the Roast, feeling unwell, to call me "indecent." You did it right when I was in the midst of overcoming the challenge that -as I recall- you were failing.
As I hope the previous post has made clear, I have dealt with people like you a long time and I've learned they come in two forms.
1. People who don't know me and hear things from group two
2. People to whom I am objectively superior, and who hate that fact
So allow me to introduce myself and what it is I do. We'll skip the fluff for a change.
I took a city teetering on the verge of bankruptcy and overstuffed the coffers.
I took warehouses populated with rats and instead populated them with commodities on a tiny budget where every coin counted. Carried the torch of Hashani mining and kept it from fading out. Trained countless numbers to scour the hills. Decades of accumulation that will survive long after I'm gone.
I reformed a Navy that had rotted under neglect.
I unflinchingly pursued a topic to which I am unaccustomed and not an expert in - warfare - and kept Hashan pushing after Ashtan ended our control of all of our territories. You are actually the catalyst for this, by the way. I was heartbroken in Tasur'ke as our last territory fell, and you sat there mocking me. I remember it well. This task has been the hardest - you are fearsome warriors. But you would be lying if you claimed you didn't feel the results of my labours.
In my numerous roles in the Krymenian Academy, I have fostered the growth of our students and now our House is more successful than it's been in living memory. Bursting with students and wild imagination.
I am a revivalist, bringing lost things from Hashan's past back as quickly as I can find them. Tried this with Indrani but... yannow... stuff happened.
I am uncommonly devout for a Hashani, pushing for faith in our silent Divine, helping to keep the candle of Their legacy burning.
I am a central figure in the Wardstone ritual that trapped the Soulbleed Nexus. From planning and drafting, to research, to execution, to deployment. I am a major figure in Hashan's science community just in general.
I am relentlessly energetic, driven to keep Hashan as a player on the world stage in all that occurs. That one I think you might appreciate, as I see you there when these things happen. Turns out we do have some things in common.
That is not to say that I did any of this alone and it is not to try to make myself seem bigger than I am. It is to say that over the course of this visit from the Kartha, you and a few other Ashtani look at that resume, at the life I have led, and all you have to say to me is 'whore.' While I do what you could not.
Did you know I was Ashtani once? Tis true! It did not last long. One of your Archons looked at me, 18 years old, broke and bubbly, and told me I didn't belong there. It wasn't a place for someone like me. Cyrene said the same to me, and thus I am where I am, where someone stopped to notice what I could do if given the room to run.
Ok.
So I'm going to presume that you're group one, because I'm kind that way. It's still unforgivable, Squire, that this is the best you can do. Knights always go on and on about honour and being admired - maybe try being someone worth admiring, and worry about titles later.
There are people who have legitimate grievances with me. People I've wronged and mistakes I've made. I try to do well by people but all mortals err and I am no different. There is ample material for a sharp tongue and a sharp mind to use. But if with the totality of accomplishments I have, calling me a harlot is still the best you can do, you are without question group two.
I am not a whore, Squire. I am a worthy opponent.
You disservice your prestige by trying to debase me.
You disservice the Empire, the Doomguard, and the institution of Knighthood to which you aspire with your methods.
Unless of course they're good with your methods. That's always a possibility. And if they are, then they are as beyond saving as my cult was. Not worth the effort.
OH! And stash the warhorn away, the answer is no. I have more important things to do than worry about... whatever it is people blow the horn to prove to themselves.
