To the now-recruiting Tyrannical Territories of Mhaldor,
Thank you for doing what many have tried, and failed, for centuries past. Thank you for choosing expediency over faithful service to your God and centuried tradition, voiding the work of those who came before you and those who will come after in one fell swoop. You have stolen breath from the lungs of those that would besiege your way of life and have set in motion a total dismantling of everything you stand for in a way we could never have dreamed. It began with bestowing the Aegean Morthif with shackles against the clear and direct orders of Lord Sartan, witnessed and enforced by Proficy himself and all attending Viceroys, and it continued by allowing said Aegean to spill blood in the Ziggurat unpunished.
As a proponent of ruin, I commend you on work well-wrought.
Now you may be wondering; what am I thanking you for precisely? Do I have proof towards this generous gift of self-subversion that you have relinquished unto your enemies? My brutal friends, I certainly do have proof, and it is all thanks to the utter incompetence of your Tyrannus and the Regents of once-Starforged Hashan. Let this be a lesson to all leadership that remembering to close the door to your Seneschal's salon when holding important diplomatic meetings will result in a more acceptable level of privacy for your affairs.
If you are curious about the actual transcript of this meeting, do feel free to reach out to me for a copy. I will not be quoting the entire thing here for I do not wish to make your brain leak from your ears with the banality of comparisons between Progress and Strength, so here is the most important message you should take from all that was said.
Evil has, for the first time in many centuries, approached another city-state to seek alliance, collaboration, and partnership. No longer will the West stubbornly insist upon standing alone against the rising tide, triumphing in the face of staggering odds to the frustration and bewilderment of their enemies. And both parties have proven this willingness to ally by twice now coming to the aid of the other's conquest attempts, as evidenced by Mhaldor acting as Hashan's guard dogs and engaging our forces in Belladona's Keep (an alliance which, for the record, failed miserably and both times resulted in victory for the Eldritch Empire).
I suppose in the absence of Lord Sartan, you must find a new Master to hold your collar.
You have done a great disservice to your people, Tyrannus Axios, and have afflicted a blight upon Mhaldor's austere legacy that will never be removed. It is a stroke of genius on your part that is to the benefit of your detractors-- truly you have outdone yourself, and I cannot thank you enough.
You have proven that all things break. Especially faith. Especially the servants of the Malevolent Master.
P.S. I can see why neither you nor Proficy dared to attend the Roast.
