I don't relish the prospect of agreeing with Archaeon in the slightest, but here we are.

I ask you, why would a follower of a prophecy that speaks of "the end of all things" wish to so strongly oppose these events? Presumably, because they are not in fact, the prophesised "end of all things". Even those who claim that the world will end in utter destruction seem to believe that this is not the time for all to disintegrate.

In regards to Pazuzu's own speech? That the Gods are Tyrannical? That we should free ourselves from Their yoke? Perhaps, perhaps not. I will leave that discussion for elsewhere.
He, however, did explicitly state his desire to replace the Pantheon and rule over the lands as a God himself. This is not freeing us from any yoke, merely chaining us down to the whims of a demon.
I'm not really one for violence as a solution to many problems, but quite frankly anyone stupid enough to fall for such a ploy does indeed deserve to wear their intestines like a cravat, for they do not simply betray the Gods, they betray all of Creation.

No matter how strong he is, no matter how many relics Slith may hold, no matter how many undead they can summon, they are never going to be strong enough to defeat all of Creation united. Any would-be allies of his should consider this before throwing down their chips, lest history repeat itself once more.

For those of you with a taste for the traditional, the usual cart is in the usual place, though the one in North of New Thera has relocated to the Wander Inn! You'll find them in stock in Cyrene's shops and even in the clouds!
