Pleak,
Sure, let the forests burn. Their destruction only helps them to grow back stronger than before. Nature will always prevail whether or not we intervene with Her.
I remember once, in my youth when the Mhaldorians exterminated forest after forest for months. Rheodad, Black Forest, Aalen, The Ithmias, were all more dead with exterminations than living. We were exhausted trying to fight them on all fronts, but look at the forests now. You can't even tell anything happened there. Nature prevailed.
As for the Druid vines, sure we have the ability to sense people within it, but we can also sense people within the forest. Yes, we can travel to anyone within it, but again, we can travel to people within the forest as well. We can consume a corpse in the network, but it takes so much energy, we generally don't. We can hear people within it, but do you know how overwhelming that is to hear everyone within the network speaking all at once? We generally do not use that skill. Also the vines do not translate for us, so we still cannot understand foreign languages. We do not generally use the attack skills either, because as you said, they hurt everyone in the network, not just our enemies.
But sure, firelash them all, they will grow back. Nature will always prevail.
Just remember where your food comes from. Where your curatives and elixirs come from. Everything that sustains you comes from Nature. So sure, try to destroy her. I'd love to be around the day Mhaldor finally destroys Nature. I'd love to see the looks on your faces as you starve from lack of food, to taste all your poisoned waters. To realise that you can no longer find curatives and elixirs. How quickly your tune will change, and how quickly you will try to replant the forests, try to mend the damage you've already done.
Nature will prevail, so even if you think you've won, you haven't. You will die as well, and in our absense, Nature will still prevail. She does not need us to survive, in fact, She'd likely do better without mankind interfering.
