The books you received were not Danna's to give away or to donate.

You stake your claim to this stolen property whilst in the same breath stating that you have no attachment to these books. Then you say that you can see that the village has a sentimental attachment to them, and so you are determined to make the village pay. There's a word for that, and we all know what it is.

You could have done the decent thing and returned the books to the village even IF Anatral was only asking for copies, or at the very least given them to the Earthmother, who has more claim to them than anyone. Instead you are now auctioning the books off to the highest bidder.
