Dark Owl,
Your lack of understanding of the Gaian Knighthood, or any knighthood for that matter, is a pathetically demonstrative of only one fact: That She has chosen her councilors poorly yet again.
Paint them as you wish, but those who have seen iteration after iteration of what was formed and framed will know what you actually contribute to it. And frankly, you do not possess the requisite measure of understanding or adherence to the order's chivalric intent necessary to debate me on its structure or philsophies, even now.
Your attempts to add a fairness doctrine to Eleusis should work quite well though as your dwindling numbers place you as the ones at the disadvantage now. You have a solid history dealing with that from your time in both Hashan and Targossas though.
One can only hope that the many civilisations abroad that She has made Her enmity are as keen to offer equitable warfare to you. Although this must be a recent shift, as Eleusis certainly was not concerned about numbers in the last Cyrenian raid following the badly botched diplomatic talks with the Senate that you helped to lead. I suppose it is a situational thing.
For your elucidation, I was told many things by Cwincan and Eleusisa Manacle too. And I kept excellent records of such conversations. Your name came up more than once. Let me share a few of the more recent and relevant snippets with you:
Sir Cwincan, the Gaian Knight says, "Cyrene and Honour. The entire ordeal is a comedy routine."
Sir Cwincan, the Gaian Knight says, "They don't have the strength of will to stand their ground against true Knights."
Sir Cwincan, the Gaian Knight says, "Long story short, you're to report to Mayapple and complete her silly overview as quickly as possible."
Sir Cwincan, the Gaian Knight says, "Smile and nod. Be sympathetic, apologetic. Offer confusion and uncertainty about why we do what we do"
Sir Cwincan, the Gaian Knight says, "Do what you can to skirt any of the Guilda concerns, We have no real interest in exchange or proving ourselves to them."
Sir Cwincan, the Gaian Knight says, "Once accepted, we can pollute the proverbial pool and sway it towards a proper direction."
Sir Cwincan, the Gaian Knight tells you, "Oh, I nearly forgot. Farrah is to be added to the Thornshod Council and will be your compatriot with Mayapple. The Council will maintain four members moving forward, but you will be the originator of our line."
It was at this point that I had to make it known that such an arrangement for complicated reasons would not work out well.
The Divine voice of Gaia echoes in your head, "Cwincan informs Me you are unable to reside on the Council if Farrah is involved."
You tell Gaia in Eleusian, "I was told You wish me to permanently remove or actively circumvent a barrier that draws me to the edge of insanity in order to interact with the Dark Owl on a regular basis.
The Divine voice of Gaia echoes in your head, "You are making it a choice between you and her, I already informed you of the limits of this relationship. You obey. That is all.a
The Divine voice of Gaia echoes in your head, "She will be upon the Council the same as you, Tysel, and Jakiro. None of these three put the sweat and tears into this Knighthood as you have though."
The Divine voice of Gaia echoes in your head, "You are the intended originator of the Gaian Knight line.a
The Divine voice of Gaia echoes in your head, "I have absolutely no intention of Aodfionn being anything of note in the Gaian Knights.a
The Divine voice of Gaia echoes in your head, "I have no plans for Farrah to swoop in and lay some claim to the reformation of the Gaian Knights either, if that is your concern. I think you have built something capable of withstanding much and growing far beyond.a
The Divine voice of Gaia echoes in your head, "But Farrah will be My Champion, for she is Farrah. Your value is not found on the battlefield in the same measure, but that is not a condemnation of your skills or dedication to our mission. Those are simply a nice addition to what more you already offer."
This was when I left the Council of the Gaian Knights because I preferred to lose the legacy of being the progenitor of a reforged chivalric line than be false and serve alongside someone whose very fabric of existence is anathema to the savage honesty the Gaian Knights were supposed to be sworn to uphold.
The Dark Owl, Servant to the Father of Lies, is trying to tell everyone that she has never been a liar. This would be comical but for the fact that so many people dona realise that Purveyors of Untruths, those fraudulent lichen that snake their way through the realm, tunneling toward the various cities, still all serve and answer, ultimately, to her and her new Queen.
Now, you have the chivalric lineage of the Aalen that was wrapped up so nicely and gifted to you without having to put in an iota of work toward its creation. So I think it is time for you and rest of Eleusis to come to terms with the fact that I have simply grown beyond you all. This is what is meant to happen with all of Her creations.
