On Chivalry

The Code of Chivalry is not some legal document, but a lifestyle that takes a lifetime to grasp, and there exist differences between chivalric orders. The Honour of the Maldaathi Knight was not the same as of the Templar Knight, yet each knew the other as Knightly. At the core, a Knight tells no untruth to ally or enemy, acts with unmasked intentions, and seeks fairness in their dealings. A Knight strives for perfection in all things martial, civil, and courtly. A Knight upholds their oaths and accepts the consequences of their actions. Beyond these simple precepts, a Knight embodies the ideals of their liege or nation--from Civil to Savage, from Good to Evil, from Doom to Progress--their cause righteous or terrible in accordance with the vows of their order. Thus, one definition of Honour or Chivalry does not fit all, but the Guild holds us all to account through the judgements of our peers.

If you truly wish to understand our Code, join our ranks and let it mould you. Else, you will know us by our oaths and by our acts, and we will guard our reputation should one of our own do us grave disservice.
