Sadness

Dear Lyrikai,
I don't know you well enough but I know at least this much, you once led
a life growing up among the boughs of Her village. I don't know why you
left but the fact remains you did leave and now you stand in the embrace
of Chaos, the anathema that seeks to corrupt and unravel not just your
old home but absolutely everything.
You have been a frequent visitor to the village and you always brought
goodwill at least on your face, never mind that you'd go back to the
ill conceived 'comfort' of being far from Nature among the falsities of
Iron and Stone. You should know a visitor is not a resident.
You may have faced some people that didn't exactly endorse your presence
but you chose to judge the whole village based on the actions of only a
few. Perhaps learn from a bee that knows which flower to visit and which
to avoid even when they're all part of the same bush.
You speak of rot as if it's a bad thing. I hope you did not forget rot
and decay is also a part of the Cycle. You like the butterflies but you
dislike the metamorphosis it goes through to achieve its existence. You
should be sad not at what the village is going through, but at yourself
for distancing from Nature in the first place.
Come back home, it's a whole new world. I only hope you'd have the will
and fortune to appreciate it.
Love,
Ada
