I was not here when my Lady Aurora renewed Her Ethian Accord many years ago. At the time, I was on a very long journey that kept me delayed for way too many years. I returned to Sapience to find my Lady attending to matters elsewhere and many conflicting reports as to what had happened in my absence. At any rate, I set myself to catching up and discovered that the Lightbringer had removed Truth from Her tenets and inserted Candour. I personally thought it nothing more than a refinement of Her ideals, since Candour literally is defined as honest speech that is free from judgment, discrimination or dishonesty. When people have a character of candour, they are said to be honest and straightforward people. I found this to be an excellent trait for Her Aarashi to pursue at all times.

You might imagine my surprise as I began to reacclimate myself to the realm to begin to hear former Aarashi claiming that Lady Aurora had "renounced Truth." Without my Lady around to ask about this claim, I pondered their words and continued to think upon Her Accord. I really began to doubt this claim that Lady Aurora had done anyting of the sort. In fact, She had given us an improved guideline. She had told us specifically how we might practice Truth in our daily lives and with every conversation that we undertake.

Fast forward several years, we Aarashi who remained in Her service were delighted to learn of Her return to us as She appeared alongside Her Bloodsworn, Lord Deucalion. Upon Her return She gave us yet another update to Her tenets, Her Ethian Accord. I will likely detail the contents of this accord in another post or in a public lecture. At this point, I merely want to address this continuing claim that Lady Aurora has "renounced Truth."

In discussions with Lady Aurora and conversations with other Aarashi, it has become really abundantly clear that Lady Aurora has not done anything of the sort. By Her words, quite recently, She has said, "I have not forsaken anything." and this was specifically in response to a direct question about Truth.

I present to you an excerpt from Her Ethian Accord, the entry on Candour:

CANDOUR

Honesty is the very foundation of morality and character. It is the
anathema to manipulation and falsehood, revealing sublimity and foible
alike in a realm of unconfined discomfort. Indeed, to be able to accept
one's own flaws, one must embrace the innate vulnerability of candour:
unadulterated truth, far removed from the veil of perfidious lies.
Sincerity and truthful opinion must be welcomed - even if it will insult
the ego - by bestower and recipient, for such honesty is paramount in
overcoming the ignorance born of deceit.

Dishonesty - the act of a placating lie or deceiving half-truth -
infects the general populace. Through the eons, it has manifested as a
gloom upon the authenticity of incalculable individuals, manifold
organisations, and worlds untold. Information and revelation, distorted
and perverted in the darkness of deceit, incite virulent conflict, for
hatred births within the hearts of those who mislead others and toward
those who act in kind. Dishonesty is the veil behind which Evil and
Darkness persist, hiding that which would reveal their horrid intent.
With pure transparency, intentions are not evaluated and suspicion does
not run rampant. We are inextricable, and the truth will out.

I see no forsaking of Truth, no renunciations. Nor have I ever found any Truth to the claim that such ever came to pass.

Our Lady's Ethian Accord is a guide to Her Aarashi as to how they should live their lives. Many of those who follow Light also seek to apply these principles to their daily practice, though to these tenets are Her Aarashi bound by oath.

This gives me reason to wonder why there are those who seek so diligently to malign Her name by laying this false claim of renunciation. I am reminded that these are people who broke their oaths and now serve Another. As I said, I was not here. I do not know what happened to cause them to break these oaths. Quite honestly that is between them and Lady Aurora. Though it pains me to see them continue to spout lies against Her, claiming that they hold to a higher ideal than She. This is a deceiptful misdirection of the worst sort. They are claiming an inside knowledge of Light that they themselves forsook. My own practice is to never believe people that use such tactics.

I continue to dedicate myself to Lady Aurora and ALL of Her tenets. I am oath sworn and duty bound to promote Fire and Light and my feet are firm on the path of Good. I invite any who desire to learn more of this duty and this calling of Good to reach out to me.
