Tesha was talking about an event in your past, not of who you are today.

Maybe you should take your own advice and break free from this bubble of
furious idiocy you live in. The Lightbringer renounced Truth Herself and
proclaimed new tenets to go by. Her Arashi were not aware of it then and
thus their futile adherence to it in Her name.

Let not your past get in the way of your future. Not much has changed,
at least not for you.
