The Second Most Beautiful Thing I Have Ever Seen.

Dear friends across Sapience, Meropis, Therophage and beyond I am so excited to write to you to all today and share this wonderful news. After two long cycles I've completed my great work and am now ready to share my art with you all. I'd like to start by thanking my dear friend Jurixe who made the mistake of encouraging me to persue my artistic side. This is what happens when you don't consider the consequences of your actions, Jurixe!

Now I have to admit that when I started this project two cycles ago it was really just about being cheap. There was no artistic consideration of the finer details. Overwhelmed by selfishness and greed I wanted to spend the least amount of gold I could on this project. Then Jurixe had to open her big fat mouth. "Excited" to see what I can create eh? I'll show you! This is when the project changed and became an expression where all the little details mattered and I had to find the correct materials. Only the most valuable materials would suffice and I've always placed great value in things someone else possessed.

Starting in Northreach and moving in no real organized fashion my foragers have, for a few decades now, cut a bloody path from forest to field and on to another forest after that spilling Gaia only knows how much blood in search of wood and fibre that other squads were gathering. Around and around they have gone hewing limbs, blocking trunks and gathering a bit of wood and fibre along the way. There were so many dead foragers I stopped keeping track of it all after the first cycle but I think I can say with great confindence that if you've lost a band of foragers in the fifty to sixty years it was because of me and my squad of foragers and I thank you so much for your generous donations to this great work of art. Your donations really helped me see the value in the essence of the material.

This new appreciation helped solve a problem that had plagued me from the very beginning and had managed to survive the pivot in objective from being as cheap as possible to being something more expressive. I needed iron and steel. At first I needed it as cheap as possible which meant that mining it myself was just right out of the question and then later it needed to have the right essence to really mesh with the entire tone of the work. Thankfully there was someone out there that had already done the work for me. They had gathered everything I needed in exactly the right manner and managed to refine it with just the right kind of craftsmanship that I felt perfectly fit the tone of this great work of art. It is at this point I need to thank both Tyrannus Entaro and ex-Tyrannus Proficy for selling me all the stolen, slave worked steel and iron I needed and for accepting art as perfectly valid reason for someone to need over three million gold in slave worked metals.

Now to be fair to two Tyranni(?) They didn't know where this was headed because they didn't have all the details but I think by now some of you have guessed what this project of mine is. I have been gathering every single piece of wood, fibre, iron and steel needed to build a brand new ship. A beautiful new ship in honour of, as the title suggests, the second most beautiful thing I have ever seen and the second most beautiful thing I have ever seen in all my travels is Sartan's corruption of the seas around His island. The first time I saw it was quite a shock. It was so big and red, angry looking like one would expect from an extension of the Essence of the God of Evil Himself. But my shock turned to amusement when I noticed that rough seas around His island weren't actually all that rough. Within the corruption the troublesome chops of the open ocean were reduced to little baby chips that were easy to pass through. Not only had the rage of the Salt Sucker had been surpressed but now all the world could see just how tenuous a grasp the Bottom Feeder has on his stolen realm. AND THEN for reasons I can only speculate, probably as some sort of reward for his followers the state of the corruption swung the other way and the seas around His island have become quite troubled and fierce with the little baby chips reduced to a memory. It is with great sincerity that I encourage every explorer and sightseer to make their way to the coast of Mhaldor and witness the beauty of Sartan's corruption of the seas around His island.

With all this said, after almost sixty years of a bloody secret war against other foragers across the face of the continent littering the forest floor with bodies in pursuit of just the right quality of material I needed to craft my great work of art dedicated to the second most beautiful thing I have ever seen it is with great pride I invite you all to visit Claw Cove to witness His corruption first hand and my new ship, Sartan's Big Red Taint.
