Creation and Chaos

Clear eyes, observe what is.

Ayar made Creation. Philosophers may debate if Chaos was part of His Work or pre-existing, what we observe is that Creation was set apart from it, never the two to meet. Indeed, when Ayar was roused to action, it was to banish, imprison, or--when even He had not the strength--to disperse the forces of Chaos that threatened His Work. Alas, with Humanity's sparing, Chaos was left a door.

Still minds, weigh the claims before you.

Chaos is not the impetus for change. Change is the nature of Ayar's Work. It was given to immortals and mortals alike, to change to their liking. It was created so that the primal forces of Light and Dark, Good and Evil, Nature and Industry, may compete to impose their vision upon the world. Stars collided, Gods and Aldar sculpted worlds, rivers and tides shifted continents, all for untold ages before the first coming of the Unnamable. Creation is ever in flux, and has always been. Chaos is merely the latest, tragic addition to its sublime design.

Good reason, do not be fooled.

Chaos is not intended in this design. Anathema, antithesis, Chaos unravels the fabric of Creation and will return it to oblivion. The Samatha know this, as we give ourselves to mend the tears. It is not change or the unfamiliar we should fear, but the slow erosion of the Weave that follows kaleidoscopic displays and warped transformations.

Many forces seek to control Creation, one would end it. Creation must resist.

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Mayan, in the year 878 AF.
