Just under one year ago, Lynara Le'Dominae and his Fiance, Alyssea set off for a journey from which they have not returned. In the few months following, an intense search and rescue effort by the Eleusian Navy and the Scions of the Sapphire Sea were conducted as we attempted to ascertain the then uncertain fate of our lost Admiral and his company. While we have been yet unable to recover or confirm any of the wreckage from the voyage that took him from our shores, we have had to reasonably presume that he and all aboard have been lost to us.
This loss has impacted not only those who belong to the Scions and Eleusis to whom he was currently oathed, but many others across Sapience whom he touched throughout his long life here, transcending factions and politics.
Many of you have reached out to offer your condolences and overwhelming support over the past several months in our efforts to see his memory honoured. Current efforts include the commissioning of a new War Galley in his memory, its purpose will be to teach those seeking to learn the ways of the waves as was his passion and intent. The ship will have a short naming ceremony before we proceed with a Kraken hunt.
I have also commissioned a memorial manuscript to which I would like to open to any and all who would like to speak their respects, share a tale, a poem, a shanty, a memory, or a farewell. The title of the Manuscript is 'Away at Sea'.
On behalf of those who impacted by the loss of Lynara Le'Dominae, you are not alone. Let us remember a man who touched many people's lives in a myriad of ways, and let not your own tribulations set you adrift at sea.
