Fully cognisant of the troubles wracking the City of Cyrene and the limited options available to you for recourse, I write to you on behalf of the Dark Father with an offer, and a request to open negotiations.

This is not a trick. It is not an attempt to deceive you. It is not a tainted bargain or a cursed deal aimed at hoodwinking you into abandoning your sovereignty and your pride. Know that I am an agent of Truth, and by Divine rule I am forbidden to lie.

The offer is as follows:

The Dark Lord is willing to oust the Wayward Heir from your Gardens and your city's borders for the duration of any agreement struck.

In exchange, the City of Cyrene will repeal any and all laws, policies, bans, statutes, or edicts that limit the religious freedom of its citizens.

Allow those who already embrace Darkness illegally, and in secret, to come forward. Embrace freedom in action, not only word.

Should this be desirable, the Dark Lord has informed me that He is also open to further negotiations on the matter of prolonged protection of Cyrene, for the appropriate price.

This is a serious offer, Imperiate, and I implore you to consider it well and provide a prompt reply. Full terms and a written contract are available upon request.

Heed this, however: any responses made by citizens of Cyrene to this missive, via this board, will be considered the official position of Cyrene. I therefore urge you to stay your quills and resist inanity or condemnation, lest you lose this opportunity to bargain.
