My Bilingual Cat

Recently, a number of people have tried to correct me on this - I think I would know my own pet's species. He is a cat. Like any cat, he has extreme aerial grace - have you ever seen a cat land on aught but its feet? He's a wonderful burglar; that's how cat burglars got their name after all, being like cats.
Yes, I know some of you have heard him 'caw' like a seagull. That would be because he is bilingual, and I bet you've never had a bilingual cat this intelligent! He looks a bit bird-like too, indeed - that's just the way this breed looks. The dealer I purchased him from, however, is very reputable. He gave me all the information I needed about this cat and its very unique species.
One misguided fool tried to explain that the fact he flies makes me wrong; that he must be some sort of bird. Ok. I'll explain that to the next flying snake I see in the Istar Jungle, that it must be, in fact, a bird. Or to the magi (or others who can channel an element so easy as air) that their flight, in fact, makes them birds.
I digress. Should you get the chance to meet my cat, who is definitely not a seagull, he likes scritches behind the ears. If you should try to pet him, he'll likely run away - that's what cats do, the snobby beasts, but if you offer your fingers just right... Well, I'm just saying there are a few privileged enough to touch his featherlike fur. Perhaps try offering him some food first?
Anyhow. He's a cat. Not a bird.
