Greetings Sapience!
As Cyrene's Chancellor, I'm advertising a shop that is up for rent in Cyrene. Experience in shop keeping is NOT neccessary, and the lack thereof will not affect your application status. If you are interested, please check out the Shop Policies manual located in the Vault of Tomes in the Lyceum. Note that if you are enemied to Cyrene, you will not be considered and you must be in good standing with the city. All applications need to be sent to me by letter with the answer to these questions by the end of Phaestian 846 in order to be considered for the current shop opening. All applications sent in will be kept on file for future consideration as well.
Thank you,
Naomh Vorondil
Chancellor of Cyrene
---------------------------------------
BASIC SHOP RENTER POLICIES/EXPECTATIONS
---------------------------------------
The renter should meet the following basic requirements before applying:
.....Be a Licensed Master Shopkeeper or plan to acquire a Master
Shopkeeper License if your application is accepted. The rental agreement
will not be finalised without it.
.....Agree to acquire an artefact keyring when possible if one is not
already in their possession. Failure to do so before the end of the
rental agreement will potentially disqualify the renter from renewing
their lease or leasing again in the future.
.....Unless otherwise stated you may not currently own, rent, or run
another shop. The only exception is if you are running an organisational
shop.
.....Read and understand the shop policies listed in Merchant's
Directory located in the Imperial Library or the manual located in the Vault of Tomes room in the Lyceum in Cyrene.
--------------------------------
RENTER APPLICATION QUESTIONNAIRE
--------------------------------
1. ) Do you have a Master Shopkeeper License and/or an artefact keyring?
If no to either, when can you meet the Basic Shop Renter Expectations?
2.) Do you have any shopkeeping experience? If so, please describe your
past experience, and include any applicable references that could be
contacted.
a.) Would you be interested in a charged service to be trained to
shopkeep by the Chancellery if you are new to shopkeeping? Skip this
question if it does not apply.
3.) Will you be the sole shopkeeper, or will you have help? If you will
have help, who will be helping you? Please note that at most a shop can
have one "owner" and one "manager" and should have no more than two keys
made for the shop for security purposes.
4.) What sort of shop will you be running? What kind of items will you
be stocking?
5.) What tradeskills, if any, do you (or your helper) have? If none, how
do you intend to acquire goods for your shop?
6.) Do you own/rent other shops? If yes, where? Please note that if you
already own or rent somewhere else you will receive lower priority.
7.) The Chancellery has a city-owned clan set up for all shop owners and
shop managers in Cyrene that provides information and serves as a place
where all shopkeeping information will be shared, please note that you
will be required to join and stay in this clan as part of renting a shop
in Cyrene. Just answer "yes" to show you read this and agree.
