Disappointment

Throughout this conflict, Hashan has made quite the habit of using these boards to make stories and spread lies. That the latest post is just more of the same is disappointing, but not a surprise.
I admit that I thought for a moment that perhaps Hashan had made some large attack on our city. Perhaps they had even gotten close to managing the kind of attack we have seen from Mhaldor and Targossas in the past. But it soon became clear that the reality was quite different.
Let us review what actually happened.
Hashani soldiers attacked Cyrene in one of the usual spots, and our soldiers were more than willing to stand in the defense of our home. As we dealt with an actual battle, Regent Farrah used her rather expensive mask to move through our city and destroy only the shrines that could be attacked without needing to fight.
Hashan then raised shrines to Lord Twilight, and hurried back to Hashan to declare a victory while they could not be attacked. The moment the moment they could be, we rather easily turned them to splinters. For all the talk about the crucible of conflict, the shrines dropped when faced with any.
We see bigger attacks regularly, and we are not impressed.
To the Seneschal, you seem to think that if only you repeat a story enough it will become true. That if you say enough times that we killed your homeless is the same as it actually happening. That if you say enough times that my resolve is failing it will be the same as if it actually is. That if you say enough times that you have managed some big assault it is the same as actually doing so.
I am afraid that in Cyrene we much prefer reality to stories. And I am afraid that the world has seen your act enough that it is hardly remarkable in the least.
The only notable thing about your post is that it shows how far Hashan has fallen into the embrace of zealotry. Thankfully, Cyrene stands for all who wish to see what heights mortals can reach if we work for ourselves, and we are more than ready to keep defending against those who would subjugate us for their religion.
